”Wendy brought an amazing combination of vision and detail to our project. We had been struggling to figure out the best way to bring more natural light into our living room and Wendy came up with a highly creative solution that solved that problem and also gave us an outdoor living area. None of the other designers we spoke with brought the same type of out-of-the-box thinking as Wendy, and throughout the process, she demonstrated a tremendous focus on all the little details that could have been easily overlooked.”

”One Christmas, in a move that was somewhere between optimistic and wildly impulsive, my husband and I spent oodles of money on a stripped, inhabitable house that had no toilets, no sinks, no lights, no doors, and a skinny dark dirt hole of a kitchen (ie: no appliances, no cabinets). What it did have: a melange of odd bright paint finishes, ugly Home Depot tiles on the exterior, and a big shiny pink granite fireplace mantle.
I cannot thank Wendy Kohn enough for the way she transformed our home, turning this strange melange of empty holes and casino-quality finishes into something beautiful. She is unafraid to merge modern with traditional elements in a way that works, and the result manages to be both expressive and subtle and the same time.
A few years later, Wendy and landscape architect Leslie Katzman redid the exterior of our house. So many strangers on the street stop to compliment the result we’ve resorted to stocking a pile of business cards in our garage to hand out to them.
Amazingly, Wendy does all this without being expensive – a rare thing. The lighting in our stairwell that gets constant compliments cost a few hundred dollars. Through months of construction through both projects, she has always been a pleasure to work with – responsive, relaxed, and easy to be around.
We’ve gone through two major, headache-free reno projects with Wendy, and are genuinely looking forward to more.”
